God has strategically placed Unity Baptist at a crossroads in our community so that we can introduce people to God and invite them to join us on a journey to discipleship. Our discipleship pathway includes four steps: loving, learning, living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and sharing it with the world. These steps are central to everything we do.
The ultimate goal of our discipleship pathway is to empower and train mature believers to do the work of the ministry in our church and in our community. Our Ministry Apprenticeship fulfills that goal by teaching and preparing those who have been called into the ministry. With God’s help, we hope to expand and replicate our discipleship process all over the world.
Our Ministry Apprenticeship is offered in partnership with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and their EQUIP Network. This partnership bridges the gap between the church and seminary, allowing credit-seeking and non-credit seeking students to pursue theological education and ministry training while staying close to home.
Credit-seeking students can complete a ministry degree through the Southeastern Seminary through online, hybrid and/or campus-based classes. Non-credit seeking students who serve as church staff members, deacons, small group leaders, and laypeople can add theological and practical depth to their discipleship ministries to maximize their role in the Great Commission.
